Piano Quartet
PAULA FEHRENBACH (cello) has performed and premiered chamber works at venues around the country and world including the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., New York’s Cooper Union, and the Arnold Schoenberg Center in Vienna.  A fixture as a member of orchestras and chamber ensembles at major venues in Southern California including the Music Center, Disney Hall, REDCAT, Los Angeles County Museum and the Zipper Auditorium, Paula has made several recent chamber music recordings with voice including the complete chamber  music of Richard Cameron Wolfe with soprano, Lucy Shelton; Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire with soprano, Jennifer Goltz; and Richard Felciano’s American Decameron with soprano, Phyllis Bryn-Julson.  A graduate of the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland, Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and the University of Southern California where she received her doctorate as a student of Lynn Harrell, she subsequently joined the New World Symphony in Miami, Florida, under the baton of Michael Tilson-Thomas.  Paula is currently a member of the Santa Barbara Symphony, the New West Symphony, and the Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra, also works in the unique Los Angeles entertainment industry playing on television and motion picture soundtracks and performing in numerous stage productions, and continues her long commitment to teaching, having been a visiting professor at the University of California at Santa Barbara, and currently serving on the faculties of Long Beach City College and Pasadena City College.
